GA compound is developed for the users who more demanding for saccharification conditions, can achieve expectant DX Value fast. GA compound is mixed with glucoamylase and pullulanase by proper proportion. The high-activity glucoamylase is derived from Aspergillus niger who can hydrolyze α-1,4-glucosidic bonds fast. It also has the ability, in a manner, to hydrolyze α-1,6-glucosidic bonds. The Pullulanase with high heat and wide pH stability derived from a genetically modified Bacillus subtilis, who can efficiently hydrolyze α-1,6-glucosidic bonds to produce straight-chain dextrin quickly. Both of these two type of efficient can coordinately convert starch into glucose.
Characteristics
Glucoamylase activity | ≥ 150000BGU/g |
Pullulanase activity | ≥ 2000 BPU/g |
Appearance | Brown liquid |
pH | 4.0 - 4.5 |
Density | 1.10-1.20 g/mL |
GA compound provides the following benefits:
◇ The DX Value of saccharification would not be less than 96.5%.
◇ Wide pH stability, flexibility in process control.
◇ Saccharification can be processed in higher temperature and drier substance concentrations.
◇ Lower reverse reaction rate.
Applications
GA compound turns liquefied starch or dextrin into high purity glucose through the synergistic effect of glucoamylase and pullulanase. The applying effect depends on processing temperature, pH, time and the quantity of dry substrate, etc. The most optimum pH of the two key components matches perfectly at pH 4.3-4.5, within this scope the saccharification can obtain the optimum results (Shown in figure1).
Typical application conditions | |
Liquefaction DE | 13 - 18 |
Dry solids | 28 - 35% |
Saccharification temperature | 58 - 64 ℃ |
Saccharification pH | 4.0 – 4.8 |
Saccharification time | 32 - 48 h |
0.35 - 0.60 kg/tds |

The dosage of GA compound depends on the process conditions and glucose yield. In most cases, the normal dosage is 0.35-0.60 kg/tds(tds:per ton of dry substance), and dosage of 0.45 kg/tds will achieve very ideal results. Also, increased enzyme dosage can efficiently shorten the process time of saccharification (Shown in Figure 2).
GA compound adapts to high concentration of dry substrate because of better activity of glucoamylase and pullulanase. Even for the DS concentration as high as 32% - 34%, it could still make the DX value higher than 96% within 32 h (Shown in Figure 3).

Storage Stability
GA compound is recommended to be stored in the original pail below 20 ℃, avoid being directly exposed in the sunlight. Refrigerated below 5 ℃ can obviously extend the shelf life.
Packaging
GA compound is in 28 Kg plastic drum.
Safety Handling
Enzyme belongs to some kind of protein, for some people it may be sensitized. Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be avoided. Wear work clothes, gloves, protective glasses during operation to prevent enzyme dust and mists. In case of contact with the skin or eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. For detailed safe handling information, please ask Bestzyme for the Material Safety Data Sheet.
