Feruloyl Esterase Enzyme

Feruloyl Esterase belongs to the carbohydrate esterase family. It specifically hydrolyzes the ester bonds between ferulic acid and polysaccharides and lignin in plant cell walls, releasing free ferulic acid and disrupting cell wall cross-linking structures, thereby improving the degradation efficiency of cellulose and hemicellulose.It is Widely used in feed, grain processing, sugar refining, brewing, plant extraction, and biomass resource utilization.

Feruloyl Esterase can specifically hydrolyzes the ester bonds between ferulic acid and polysaccharides and lignin in plant cell walls, releasing free ferulic acid and disrupting cell wall cross-linking structures, thereby improving the degradation efficiency of cellulose and hemicellulose. It is Widely used in feed, grain processing, sugar refining, brewing, plant extraction, and biomass resource utilization.

Effective pH range: 5.0-9.0; Optimal pH: 6.5-8.0

4. Applicable Temperature

Effective temperature range: 20-60℃; Optimal temperature: 35-45℃

5. Moisture: 10%MAX

Notes: For food grade Feruloyl Esterase , Total bacterial count, coliform bacteria, Salmonella, etc., meet the corresponding national standards for food grade enzymes requirements.

 

Application

1. Feed Industry: Degrades the cross-linked structure of ferulic acid in feed, reduces anti-nutritional factors, improves nutrient digestibility, and improves animal production performance.

2. Food and Grain Processing: Improves dough texture, increases sugar extraction rate, and enhances beverage clarification and filtration performance.

3. Plant Extraction: Assists in the release of functional active substances such as ferulic acid and flavonoids.

4. Biomass Utilization: Synergistically enhances the saccharification efficiency of biomass such as straw with cellulase and xylanase.

 

Recommended dosage

• Feed Addition: 100–600 g/ton of complete feed

• Food/Grain Processing: 0.001%–0.1% (w/w)

• Biomass Hydrolysis: Optimize based on substrate and process conditions; small-scale trials are recommended to determine optimal conditions first.

Feruloyl Esterase can be used in combination with xylanase, β-glucanase, cellulase, etc.

Storage Conditions

• Recommended Storage: Store below 25℃(better 2–8℃) in a dry, light-protected, and sealed container.

• Avoid high temperatures, direct sunlight, humidity, and strong acid or alkali environments.

 

Safety and Handling Precautions

• This product is an enzyme preparation for industrial/feed/food processing and is not for direct consumption.

• Avoid inhaling dust or droplets during handling. Wearing gloves, a mask, and goggles is recommended.

• If contact with skin or eyes occurs, immediately flush with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.

• Keep out of reach of children. For professional use only.
